Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to purchase tickets?

No. Entry to the European Championships for Ponies is free of charge and no tickets are required. Spectators are welcome to watch all of the competition, which takes place from Wednesday 8 August - Sunday 12 August.

When are the events taking place?

Please see our quick calendar, which includes the provisional timetable. The times provided for dressage, showjumping and eventing are estimates only and will be dictated by the number of entries and progress on the day. If there is a particular class that you're hoping to watch we would advise that you arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Can I come to watch the opening ceremony?

Due to limited space, the opening ceremony is by invitation only. All competitors and their families are invited, but access to the event will be on a first come first served basis. Unfortunately, if you are not a competitors' family member, you will be unable to attend.

How do I get to Bishop Burton College?

The easiest way to get to Bishop Burton College is by car. Please use our postcode - HU17 8QG - to help you plan your route. When you arrive at the college, please use the Main Entrance on the A1079 (not the Village Entrance that is next to the Altisidora pub) and park in the main car park, which will be signposted. From there, there will be signs and stewards directing you to the arenas and cross country course.

If you would prefer to travel by public transport, the X46 bus route (which covers York, Hull and Beverley) stops at Bishop Burton. You can view the bus timetable here.

I can't make it to watch the competition. Is there a live stream?

We are live streaming as much of the competition as possible and showing recordings for everything else. You can find the details for the streams here.

Where can I find the start lists and results?

They will be updated on the start lists and results page as soon as they are available.
